Peter Thomas Roth Unwrinkle Peel Pads
Although I purchased these for myself after using a sample of this product, my husband asked if he could have them. He had horrible acne when he was a teenager and has some serious scarring and unevenness of his skin. I gave them to him and he started to use them once a week because he used them several nights in a row and his face became too sensitive. After a month of once a week usage he was pleasantly surprised that the skin of his face was smoother and the scarring appeared lessened. He also sunburned easily and he added daily sunscreen to his regimen (we know this happens when you use peels regularly). I was amazed that he was wanting to take care of his skin and now recommend other products for him to use. For instance he is now using an eye cream for his puffy morning eyes!
Does your significant other want to use more products because you are a beauty blogger or beauty buff? What have you seen the biggest difference in what they use? Would love to hear your thoughts on the products the men in your life use :)! Sherry
Clarins Flash Balm products worth the hype!
Clarins Flash Balm
Clarins Eye Revive Beauty Flash
I have been using Clarins Flash Balm for about 3 years now and can't imagine not using this product. Whether as a primer, a refreshing brightener during the day or as a mask at night the flash balm really tightens, cools and smoothes the skin with Olive and Witch Hazel. I carry a tube with me to work and love how its pinky colored balm brightens up my face when I am looking a little worse for the wear!
Then I saw the Eye Revive Beauty Flash and decided to purchase it from Dillard's and see how I liked it. I have some serious fine lines and my undereye area gets quite dry during the day. So this little tube joined the Flash Balm in my bag for work and oh ladies it works a treat! A little dab helps to smooth the skin and tighten it and it brightens and moisturizes the area helping me to look a little more refreshed without adding concealers and other products that tend to cake up under my eyes.
Some people aren't at all impressed with the Clarins Flash Balm and don't get the hype. I absolutely do and once I learned how to use the products, I can definitely tell a difference and especially for *ahem older skin these give me a dewy youthful look. And seriously ladies, who doesn't want that?
So have you tried the Clarins Flash Balm? Are you the yay or nay group? Do tell! Sherry

MAC Holiday Keepsake Kits
MAC Keepsakes Natural Face Kit
MAC Keepsakes Plum Eyes
Yeppers the holiday brings out some of the prettiest and most unnecessary sets and palettes. But you gotta just get a couple, I mean it's a thing! Ha :) The MAC Keepsake Natural Face Kit just screamed at me when I saw it and it was the last one at my Dillards MAC counter so I HAD to get it, right? It has 3 eyesahdows, 2 lip colors, 1 iridescent powder and 1 cream color base. The packaging is adorable with a cameo face (watch the little "pearl" parts around the case though, they are flimsy and may come off easily IMO). The colors are beautiful and wearable. The lippie colors are the only really pigmented products in the kit.
The Plum Eyes kit is easily going to be the most used of the 2 palettes. With my hazel eyes these colors are complimentary and most of these colors have some nice pigmentation with a couple being powdery and having fallout. Last year was the first time I even purchased and used MAC products and I am not disappointed!
These are pretty to pull out of your bag and touch up and make great conversation pieces and MAC definitely knows how to put together collections and unique packaging. SO if you have a girlfriend, family member or even you that loves MAC and love the holiday collections and packaging, then this is for you!
Have you gotten any of the MAC Holiday Keepsake kits? Let me know in the comments :) Thanks for stopping by the blog, Sherry
Wet N Wild Mega Last Lipsticks
Color Swatches from top:
Cherry Picking
Stoplight Red
Cinnamon Spice
Red Velvet
At a whopping $1.99 at my local CVS pharmacy, these lipsticks are great to collect all the colors. I read about these on another blog and learned that they last a long time. Most lippies (even stains) do NOT last on me and so I am always on the lookout for a lippie that can give my lips a run for the money!
The packaging on these suck. The lippie doesn't go all the way down and goes against the lid. The lid also doesn't stay on real well and you have to be careful that it doesn't open in your purse or makeup bag. The lipstick itself is dry going on and needs exfoliated and moisturized lips beforehand. But let me tell you this, these are no joke staying on. The color lasts and when "fixed" after applying they aren't going anywhere, even on my lips! The colors range from nudes to pinks to reds to dark vampy looks. I love them!
What do you think? Will you try the Wet N Wild Mega Last lippies? Let me know your thoughts and hope you have a great day! Sherry

Fekkai Hair Fragrance Mist
Available at Ulta for $20
Rose Fraiche
Since I quit smoking, I am not as self conscious about my hair smelling like smoke. However, this hair mist also boasts being able to give a shine and help with frizz control. I have used this twice and the fragrance is not overwhelming and the mist does give a bit of a shine. The frizz control part is not as noticeable to me and we have had some really humid days this last week.
Who would have thought that there would be a product for your hair to smell good but there are lots of these in stores, from the inexpensive to the exhorbitant! I like the idea and although it isn't something I feel is necessary, it is definitely indulgent!
Have you tried any of the new hair fragrance mists? Do tell! Blessings, Sherry
Marc Jacobs Skyliner set from Sephora
$45 at Sephora an exclusive petite liner set for the holidays
Colors include:
Overt
Brownout
Sunset
Midnight in Paris (new)
Think
Plumage
Blacquer
When I was in my local Sephora, I decided that I wanted to try some new and exciting colors for eyeliners. I have been quite boring and wanted to try something a bit more daring. Enter Marc Jacobs Skyliners with some fun colors. I swatched them in the store and the first thing I noticed is that they are vivid and some have sparkles in them. Secondly, I noticed that they glided on very easily and that is a big deal for my older eyes :)!. Lastly ladies let me tell you that these freakin' last. Whew I really had to work to get them off my arm!!!! These are my first Marc Jacobs makeup product and I really love them.
Not all the colors have sparkle in them, there is a few that are plain and they are all beautiful. This is a set that is specific for the holidays and I was pleased to get my hands on these. If you are looking for some great eyeliners, great colors and some serious lasting power these are definitely the ones.
Have you tried these skyliners? Tell me your thoughts below, would love to hear from you! Blessings, Sherry

Happy Thanksgiving week!
Hello ladies! I have now been able to get back on the technology bandwagon after both my phone and laptop decided to die at about the same time ugh. So it is with a grateful (ok really happy) heart that I am able to have both back and usable. I will be able to get some new posts up on the blog about some new products and Sephora sale goodies. This week is full of family, food and relaxing and I will be back to the blog as soon as the holidays have eased up! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog and for my new followers, ya'll rock!!! Blessings to ya'll, Sherry

Lip treatment rewind/Keeping lips kissable
ELF Lip exfoliator
Tarte Maracuja Lip exfoliator
Laura Geller lip trip smoothing sugar scrub
Back in the day (:) I just used a soft toothbrush to exfoliate my lips so that my lipstick and glosses didn't look sickly. Although I can still use that particular way, using lip scrubs are so luxurious! From inexpensive ELF twist up tube exfoliator to the Tarte tin, these lip exfoliators are a pleasure to use. As for the ELF tube, it is very gritty and should be used with a light hand. The Tarte is the least gritty of the bunch and the Laura Geller sugar scrub is just right!
The ELF lip exfoliator can be obtained at Target and the other two are available at Sephora. Yes, the winter is when these are used the most, however; summertime swimming, sun and wind tend to chap my lips badly and I want to make sure they are soft and silky. Hey, my husband gets the benefit of lip care!!
What lip scrubs/exfoliators do you use? Do you have a favorite? Do tell! Sherry
Fall Lippie Rewind #lipstickmakesmesmile
#115 Whimsical Fantaste
#120 Whimsical Exuberant
Totally shopped my stash and out these came because they are perfect for this time of the year! Great berry and mauve colors are perfect and am loving rediscovering these!!!
Anyone who has read my blog knows that I am a lipstick junkie. Although I have seen these for some time and have so many lippie products to last until my last breath, I couldn't resist getting a couple of these. Primarily I love these because crayon type lippies are easy to carry, don't need a mirror and are just really fun!
I like bright cheery colors and these 2 are just that. I read somewhere (can't recall where) that a pink lip helps to brighten and make a mature face younger. I am not THAT old LOL but won't pass up the opportunity to lighten and make my face more youthful. These glide on smoothly, are fairly moisturizing and a couple of swipes give a beautiful pop of color. Unfortunately on me they don't last very long and I need to reapply fairly often.
They are available lots of places, I purchased mine at Walgreens. They also have them in matte, yet matte lips for me are a no no. My lips look old, dried out and feel weird :). If I do wear a matte I tend to put a pretty clear gloss over them which totally takes away the whole matte idea!
I do like these better than the Revlon Just Bitten sticks that came out several years ago.
Have you tried these? How do they hold up for you? Leave me a comment and thanks for stopping by my blog! Sherry

Weekly lippie love #lipstickmakesmesmile
Lipstick Queen Butterfly Ball in Moment
Ohhhhhhh how I love lippies! Add to that the change of seasons and darker colors and different textures and I am in head over heels!!! Gotta let you lovely ladies know that I am having some computer issues and not as able to get online and get the blog done as efficiently as previous. So if you have comments or ideas, I am doing everything I can to keep in touch. Thanks for stopping by the blog and hope you love the lippie of the week! Blessings, Sherry

Bite Matte Cream Lip Crayon
Left swatch: Aubergine (eggplant)
Right swatch- Framboise- (vibrant pink/purple)
The Bite Beauty brand has made a permanent home in my makeup stash! Non-toxic, emollient and good for your lips, these lippies are everything I want them to be. Long lasting, hydrating (YES you read that right a matte lippie that is hydrating), beautiful colors and good for you as well. Seriously ladies, what more could you ask for in a lipstick? Sephora carries these beauties and if you too a stroll through past posts of mine you would see posts dedicated to lippies and my addiction thereof as well as BITE products that have rocked my world! For reals, ladies these are da bomb!
Fall colors and easy to carry in my scrubs pocket should I need to reapply, swoon! So haul butt to your nearest Sephora and have a look at the large range of colors. From your nude lippies to your brightest brights, they have a color for everyone pair of lips out there. Have you tried them yet? What are your thoughts? Do tell! Sherry
Urban Decay Body BB Cream
I have had this tube of goodness for a couple of months and forgot to post for ya'll. So after using it this week I was reminded to talk about it. Especially with the waning of summer and the cooler days ahead and a fading tan, this product is beautiful on legs, shoulders, decollete. There is a beautiful shimmery glow (although not disco ball shimmer) and a light fragrance. If you have used the UD Naked Skin then you have an idea how this product smells. The cream is thicker than normal lotion, glides on the skin smoothly and takes a few minutes to absorb. I love using this on my legs when I am wearing a skirt, shorts or a dress. There is a subtle glow to the area you apply. It looks like there is a pinky tan look to the lotion yet when you apply it seems to blend with your skin quite well.
The one thing I noticed is that it isn't very moisturizing per se, it feels more of a glow getter lotion than a true moisturizer. I found this out after using it on clean shaven legs! However, that hasn't stopped me from using it. I am utterly in love with the UD Naked Skin complexion perfectors and rarely take the time to really make an effort with my skin. This changed that as it is nice to have a glow that garners compliments and questions!
This is available at Sephora and Ulta and I can see this tube lasting me for some time as a little goes a long way! Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts on the UD Naked line? Do tell! Have a blessed week, Sherry
E-bay goodies
Ben Nye Banana Powder
Dior Addict Fluid Stick sample pack
Ohhh the hours I could spend browsing E-bay and the beauty and makeup items. I love looking for the inexpensive and even the luxurious items that I may never have gotten my mitts on in the normal course of the day. Sometimes there is a ridiculous price on items that I laugh off and others make me pause as I hit the send to cart button!
I have a very normal red complexion and using a correcting color or powder sure seems to help thus the purchase of the Ben Nye Banana powder. The cute little size with the sifter top is perfect for my purse and it is smoother than I thought it would be. It definitely helps that red face I might have mid day. The Dior Addict Fluid Stick samples were really because I have one color I bought of the full size and this sample pack has a couple of the other colors I would like to try before I think about splashing out the cash. Great way to try before I buy!
Are you an E-bay lurker? What beauty products have you found that made you squeal? Do tell! Sherry

Lipstick of the week
MAC Acquatics Lipstick (LE) in Goddess of the Sea
I practically ran to the store to get my mitts on this beautiful MAC lippie. It was my FIRST ever MAC purchase and I wasn't disappointed! In the unique aqua colored tube with raised "water droplets" the color of the lipstick looks really purple. Now I am not afraid of purple :) but this applied like a dream, good slip and turned into a beautiful berry purple on my lips. As I am an older woman with some serious lip and mouth wrinkles I am careful to apply invisible liner or a nude liner to help keep the lippie inside my lips. This didn't bleed at all and wears about 2 hours on me before I need to reapply. This has been taking up residence in my scrub pocket at work and is just right.
What do you think of the MAC Acquatics lippie? Were you able to get your hands on the Limited Edition lippies? Do tell! Sherry

Lippie A Week #lipstickmakesmesmile
If you have spent any time on my blog you know I have a serious lippie addiction and I don't plan on stopping my usage anytime soon! I wanted to do a lipstick, gloss, crayon or stain once a week for the month of October. Add the changing of the seasons, cooler weather and some lippies I haven't talked about and hopefully you will swoon over them as much as I do!
Now I have a HUGE respect for bloggers who do photos of their lips and faces and I am still very uncomfortable but moving through that discomfort and showing you my crooked lips and all. So stay tuned for the lippie month. Share your favorite lippie loves and maybe my wishlist will grow :). Bring on October!!! Sherry

If you loved 50 Shades of Grey......
The phenom that was 50 Shades of Grey have spawned a wide variety of books to the genre. After checking out some of the bargain books at my Barnes and Noble for my Nook e-reader, I stumbled upon Lisa Renee Jones and her books. And all I have to say is they are good. Not quite 50 Shades but definitely something you could sink your teeth in and really enjoy. I devoured the first 4 books and am anxiously waiting for the 5th to come out November this year!
So if you have the time and are looking for another breathless book series, then you must check out "Being Me" the first in a set of books that will have you waiting to dive back into them right after you have put it down!!! Enjoy, Sherry

Autumn Makeup Shakeup
Ok ladies Fall is upon us and without a doubt this is my favorite time of the year. A) It's cooler and my hot flashes rejoice!, B)I get a bit braver with my makeup choices, C) I am ecstatic that my boots get out of the dark and dust to wear, D) Cardigans, Moto jackets etc. really need I say more!!! Purples and greens and deep dark burgundies are everywhere and shopping my stash was very exciting!
I dug out my Kat Von D Shade Shifter eyeshadow in love letter: a multihued purple and on the road: a multihued green. I love her shadows! The Milani Gel powder eyeshadows have been on everyones blogs and eyes and are wonderful for a wash of color for daytime. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette that I received for my birthday is perfect for that subtle glow and face setting. A little more oomph to my base had me picking my Cover FX CC cream, the perfect balance between coverage and a great face. The Smashbox Fade Out eyeshadow palette came out last year and was an instant hit for this time of the year (it was LE and I can't find it anywhere but E-bay). For the lippie lover that I am, Maybelline Colorsensational in Espresso Exposed and Covergirls Embrace were two sure fired lippies to get me in the mood for the cooler weather.
When the temperature here in the Dallas area is 80's instead of 100's that is the sign that I can play around with some different looks and makeup. I am beyond excited and although I am wearing shorts today, I am confident that the 60's are around the corner!
What are some of the Fall seasonal makeup items that you are going to bring out? Do tell! Sherry
Ole Henricksen 3 Little Wonders Follow Up
I shared with you ladies about using the Sephora points goodie I received the Ole Henricksen 3 Little Wonders sample kit. It contained 7 days worth of morning and evening serums and face moisturizer. I absolutely loved this and then it got my brain to working overtime. The way this was packaged was incredible. What I mean by that was if companies made a packaged daily usage serums and moisturizers, how easy would that be? And for me, when I get lazy this takes out the guesswork and there is no using too much or wasting product.
I know, I know, this is out there but at the same time how many of us can stick to a new skincare regime without having some off days? Maybe just me :)! I was pleasantly surprised to see how well these products worked for my face especially as the temperatures here in Texas are changing from 100's to low 80's on most days. I felt that the ability to use something well for a week also gave me a great feel for the products and this company has surely gotten my attention.
Do you also think about samples and try it kits like I do? Wouldn't it be great for a month long packaged skincare kit that takes out the guesswork and is easy to use? Share your thoughts below as I would love to hear from you! Blessings, Sherry

Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle
Left Guava/Moonstone
Right Lychee/Opal
Swatch top-Lychee/Opal
swatch bottom-Guava/Moonstone
Seriously a gorgeous product and incredible for full on summer skin. I can honestly say that this last year is the first time in my life that I have added any kind of "illumination" products to my makeup routine or face. I watched tons of youtube videos, read numerous blogs and loved that it gave me a youthful glow. Sure a woman of my age has to be careful not to get into disco ball and teen prom makeup looks but I sure learned that a bit of highlighter just looked right! This one is seriously easy to use and the soft mousse/gel like texture is intriguing. I can either use my fingers, (which I prefer) or a stipple brush and add this to my cheekbones for a lit from within glow. I also used the Guava/Moonstone on my eyelids one day and it was simple and perked my tired eyes right up. Becca Cosmetics are famous for their illuminators and this blush/highlighter medley in a jar is perfect. Yes, I had to learn how to apply these and figured that playing around with them and thinking outside the box was the surefire way to find a look I liked.
Sephora is where I acquired mine but I have since learned that Becca is now available at Ulta! Have any of you lovely ladies tried these Beach Tint Shimmer Souffles? What are your thoughts and tips? Do tell!!! Sherry
Ole Henricksens 3 Little Wonders
Sephora just totally rocks! I am in love with being able to obtain some serious samples and try them and fall in love with some great skincare and makeup. This was included in one of my Sephora orders and having used Ole Henricksen products before in a kit that I got for Christmas a couple of years ago, promptly fell in love all over again. This deluxe sample set gives you 7 days of professional strength am/pm regimen to turn your skin around. The products are: truth serum collagen booster for AM followed by the sheer transformation oil-free moisturizer and then PM: invigorating night treatment followed by the moisturizer. I am on day 4 having decided to use this little pick me up after being under the weather the last couple of weeks. I have noticed a remarkable difference in the texture, moisture and radiance in my skin.
I know that using products from one line that all work together is usually the way to go to achieve great results, however; I am a die hard skincare advocate and have different kinds and brands that I love to use. This 3 little wonder am/pm regimen is incredibly good. I may just have to check with Sephora, especially as the holidays are coming, that is when lots of brands have great starter kits for great prices. I for one, love the products from Ole Henricksen and feel they are worth the extra dough!
Have you tried any of this brands products? Thoughts? Would love to hear from you! Sherry
Clinique Brighter Smile Collection
Swatches Top to bottom:
different lipstick in raspberry glace
different lipstick in shy
butter shine lipstick in fresh watermelon
high impact lip color in very currant
There are some Dillard's that carry the excusive Brighter Smile Collection. Basically Clinique had dentists and makeup artists bring together the colors of all the lipstick brands that Clinique carry and show which of the colors make teeth appear brighter when you are wearing them. I love to give myself an edge in that department as I am a smoker and the colors I picked out of the Brighter Smile Collection were not all the same type of lipstick but the colors were! As you can see from the swatches that there is definitely a theme going on!
Seriously though, I have been drawn to these colors my whole life and love that these are helping to make my smile a bit brighter! Clinique has some really pretty and great wearing, smooth lipsticks and on top of that they have a weighty silver tube that is seriously luxe. The designs on the tubes even kick that luxe up a notch! So Clinique used a dental guide and there are 15 colors in the collection to choose from and at $16 a tube not half bad.
Have you tried any of Clinique's brighter smile collection? Sherry

Love those boxes from Sephora!
I had the pleasure of winning a $50 Sephora GC from the absolutely beautiful, hilarious and slave to her cat lady, Karen at makeupandbeautyblog.com. If you have not had the pleasure to check out her blog, jump on that fast as this lady knows her stuff and gives incredible comprehensive reviews, swatches and a side dish of humor and lifestyle. Do it I tell ya, do it!!!
Anything Sephora is fun and because I won it in my birthday month it made it even better! I absolutely love Givenchy's 4-1 mascara and this little kit had a full size mascara with a mini lipstick. I have never had the pleasure to try Givenchy lippies and this was a divine experience. Although this lippie addict needs another lippie like I need another hole in my head! Becca's Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle in Lychee/Opal was an addition I really wanted and was so excited to receive. Also because I had accumulated some points I got the Origins deluxe sample skincare set and ohhhh can't wait to dive into these. I have loved Origin's since the late 80's.
Sure made a yucky end to the month a bit more exciting, nothing like a little Sephora goodie box to brighten up my skin and eyes :). What have you gotten from Sephora lately? Do tell! Blessings, Sherry
Loreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
Loreal swatches from top:
White cream in Medium
Anti Fatigue
I didn't "need" these but had to have them! The regular white cream changes on my skin to a medium coverage and I have noticed that I use less base. They are not billed as primers and yet make my face smooth and even before my base. I am pleased with the product. The Anti-fatigue ( hey we all need all the help we can get when the sleep is lacking!) evens and brightens my face and is light and easy to apply. They are surprisingly moisturizing and work to make my face look so much better. Overall I am pleased with the results. They are a bit pricey for a drugstore product but am ok with buying something that gives me an edge.
Easy to blend and a little goes a long way. Loreal has come out with some incredible products lately and I am pleased to get some great products for a fraction of the price. Have you used these products/ What are your thoughts? Do tell! Sherry
The new Stila palettes are to die for!
Stila eyes are the windows Shadow Palette- MIND
I do NOT need another palette girls! But this one was calling my name LOUD :). It has a lot of matte shadows (necessary for older hooded lids IMO). There are a few that have minimal shimmer and work really well to lighten up my eyes. I have a challenge to myself to use a different lipstick a day, different eyeshadow a day and different blush a day. Primarily because I am in a rut and also because I have so many products that languish in my makeup case!
Stila has always been a brand that I love and this is no different. The shadows are: (L column top to bottom to R) Brilliance, Imagination, Genius, Understanding. Middle column: Instinct, Observation, Will, Perception. Last column: Reason, Thinker, Creativity, Intellect.
I love these names as they are in line with the Mind. They are buttery smooth, last all day (with primer) and have some great pigmentation. The other 3 in the launch have some serious shine and shimmer (read glitter) and although beautiful are not for me. I am pleased and excited about this palette and can't wait to dive into looks to wear. Yeppers, I feel the price is worth it and am not sure if these are LE or not. So grab 'em while you can ladies! They are available at Ulta and Sephora while they are available!~ Sherry

Urban Decay Flushed
With the launch of the new UD Naked blush palettes, I had to show you my "old school" palette that came out a couple of years ago. This was the original blush palette and it has been a staple in my rotation. It contains a blush, bronzer and highlighter. Makes for a very handy palette, especially for travel or purse. The swatches are shown very heavily swatched and doesn't show the bit of shimmer in the product. Not overly so that you feel like disco ball fiasco, but a nice shimmer that is seriously a lit from within look. I like that it is virtually foolproof for those of us (me) that need a palette that carries all I need for a cheek look without worrying myself to distraction!
Urban Decay just totally rocks! I have a large amount of their products and love each and every one of them. There aren't many misses in their line and although they have some high prices, I believe they are totally worth it. This palette is proof that they know how to put together complimentary items to give you a product that works.
Are you interested in the new Naked blush palettes? Do you own this one? I would be interested to hear your thoughts, so dish ladies! Sherry
Dior Hydralife BB
I am firmly in the BB/CC craze and don't care LOL! Most of my BB and CC creams have been drugstore or inexpensive ones and having a giftcard made me want a higher end BB cream (don't ask me why, could have purchased a lot more:). So to my local Sephora I went and swatched away and this one caught my eye and heart. It was purely an impulse buy as I hadn't read reviews or looked it up prior to purchasing. But there was just something about having a Dior product and a BB cream at that!
This BB cream is seriously smooth, pretty sheer and blends like a dream. It covers my redness and hyper-pigmentation really well. I still need to use a concealer on the spots as well as under eye circles that I sport. Overall, it's impressive. It has an SPF 30 which let's face it is a necessary evil. What better way than to have this included in my BB! It actually dries down to a semi matte finish and although it doesn't last my full 12 hour shift, it gets pretty darn close. The oxymoron is that it hydrates my normal to dry skin and gives a sheer medium coverage (if that makes any sense!). I am so glad that I decided to purchase this and albeit there was no research, it became a favorite base in a hurry.
Have you used the Dior Hydralife BB? I have read reviews on Sephora and there are mixed reviews for sure. Take it from me, my older skin is loving this stuff. Would love to hear your thoughts! Sherry

When life gets really brown
Within the last 2 weeks I have had a car accident leaving me without transportation, a severe 72 hour migraine with non-stop vomiting and just general life blah's. Not a great time at all let me tell ya. I have struggled to get back to some kind of normalcy, mainly as people with chronic pain or illness know that just to get up and shower and brush your teeth is a very big deal. It took me almost 3 days to do these very small and normal things. Today I am being still, letting myself get my energy back and eating lightly as to keep things down and make sure the razor's edge I live on with my migraines can very well turn. I am possibly getting my car back from the mechanic shop tomorrow and my fingers are crossed for that (my insurance company rocks!). I love my blog and I love being a nurse and when I get as down as I have been for that last 2 weeks I have to remember to really take care of myself first. Very hard for the caretaker in me.
So ladies, thank you for continuing to read this slice of my world and for following me and posts will be back on schedule by the end of this week. I appreciate those who have asked after me and for the people who support me. Blessings to ya'll, Sherry

When Ulta started carrying Mally Beauty, I spent some time swatching and playing with the products. I was pretty impressed. Then I read up on the brand and products and watched some videos (she's a hoot!) and decided to obtain some pieces that I knew I would use. These are the ones I decided on and am so glad I got them!
Primers have become a must have in my makeup routine and her Prep Poreless Primer was smooth, cooling and very nice to use. I can't say that it made my makeup last any longer but it definitely made the "canvas" easier to work with. Because as we age the luminosity tends to fade, I wanted to use the Illuminating primer and was pleasantly surprised that it gave me a subtle glow to my face under my base. Not too glittery or shimmery and all in all a beautiful primer to add that youthful glow.
The cancellation concealer, along with a setting powder, was a welcome addition. I have some serious genetic under eye circles and this is smooth and easy to use. On a side note my under eye circles have gotten better using Strivectin nightly! Anyway, it is also nice to have a finely milled setting powder so that the concealer does not budge!
Last but certainly not least, the Face Defender is awesome. I can use it right after makeup application to "set" my t-zone and also can use it during the day when I need a "blurring" or "erasing" of my t-zone and pores. I don't like the large compact and the sponge (which works really well) is large and bulky to carry. I know there is a travel size one in a try it kit at Ulta but am not sure I want to get that. The purple tinged silicone product is perfect for that freshening effect and pep of your makeup, especially mid-day.
I am impressed with Mally Beauty and feel these were worthy additions to my daily makeup. I do know that QVC carries a lot of great deals and kits, Ulta has a try me kit and if you are interested do try these out first to see if you like the products. Give it a whirl girls, I think you will like them and if you have tried these and have different experiences do tell! Sherry
