Fall nails

I don't have the most awesome nails, however I do my best to take care of them, especially being a nurse! I especially love the Sally Hansen Inst-Dri nail polishes because I can do my nails quickly and easily without too much time or fuss. This color is rich deep wine, named Wined Up. Another must have for me is a great hand cream or lotion for dry hands that I tend to get from multiple hand washings, cooler weather and yep menopause! 1) No. 7 Protect and Perfect Overnight Hand Treatment 2) Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream 3) Caudalie Hand and Nail creme 4) Nivea Soft face/body/hand moisturizing creme

High Tea with Pixi win!

I had the pleasure of winning the High Tea with Pixi contest and received the beautiful Fairy Light Solo eyeshadow in No 10 Bronze Beam. It is velvety to the touch, slightly shimmering and makes a nice day shadow. It leans toward gold bronze. I love the texture and the ability to sheer it out or make it more dramatic! I also received the Pixi Fairy necklace. Pixi has some really great products and I have more than a dozen pieces in my collection from Target. Seriously, we do it all!!!

Do you ever feel like that you have to do it all, no matter what? So many people rely on me and yet sometimes I feel like I am going to drop one of the many balls that I am juggling! I wear many hats, wife, mother, nurse, daughter, aunt etc. and each of these hats requires so much sometimes. I have my faith, some downtime that I relish (I am a voracious reader)and I attempt to take good care of my body as well as my mind. It takes so much out of me and I have to remind myself that when it feels like it is too much it usually means I need to step back and let others handle things for awhile. It isn't necessary for my sanity to be harmed! This time of the year is especially hard as the holiday season is upon us and there is so much to do, parties to plan and attend, gifts and the list seems endless! What will you do this year to take care of you and allow others to help? Good food for thought!

Christmas time product blues

Yep, I said Christmas time blues! Now let me explain myself. The awesome variety of palettes, packages and great makeup and skincare products that beckon from the likes of Ulta, Sephora etc. I get blinded by the pretty products when actually I don't need another palette or lipstick or well, anything! Yet my poor self gets so excited about these beautiful offerings and today I decided to shop my overwhelming beautiful stash and change up my holiday makeup. To that end here are some pictures of the wonderful things I remembered. I I have a confession to make, I am hopelessly addicted to Bloglovin and the incredibly talented bloggers there. For instance,The Beauty Professor is smart, beautiful, has excellent reviews and beautiful swatches. She has inspired me in my makeup choices, skincare and learning to think outside the box, stretch the comfort zone.. I love her! Check her out! I feel like Alice in Wonderland!

I have 3 very tech savvy sons who are nowhere near when I need them to try and figure out this seeming puzzle like setup to a blog! However, let me tell ya'll I am doing my dangdest to figure this out and learn the best I can to give everyone the best little blog that I aspire to be :).

Seriously, I am learning daily and getting some interesting on the job training!

Aveeno Eczema Prize Pack!!!

Unabashed lip junkie

This may look like a lot of lippies, however, this is probably a quarter of my overall lipsitcks, glosses, stains, etc, A pop of beautiful lip color can change my day in a heartbeat and give me a boost of confidence. The new Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks are the majority of the presence in my fall lineup seconded only by Maybellines beautiful juicy purples! Have fun and enjoy the fall for the color play!
